This vegetarian-safe product can be easily consumed as a drink or with food 90 minutes before and after yoga practice. It can also be taken during off-days to replenish bodily nutrients.
Balance has a mild, natural sweetness and it leaves a refreshing and fruity taste in the throat. When mixed with water, it forms a pleasing reddish color due to the beetroot in it. This rejuvenating drink energizes the body for a great yoga workout and calms the mind, helping it stay fresh, alert and focused.
Vitality is slightly veggie-like in taste, which is not very strong. Don’t let its wheatgrass-like color put you off; it is supposed to increase one’s metabolic rate post-exercise.
My only note with this product is that sometimes the powder does not dissolve completely in the water and can leave sediments at the bottom of the cup. Alternatively, one might want to infuse it with a meal, for example, rice. For best results, one should take these drinks on a long-term basis, as this Yoga Earth product is all about long term cleansing and nourishing rather than being a quick fix.
